Terry Kyle is the Australian co-founder of WPX.net, an independent, 11 year-old, high-speed WordPress hosting company that employs 100+ staff in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he has lived for the past 12 years, with his Bulgarian wife, Yuliya, 10 rescue cats + 3 dogs.
Terry is also the founder of EveryDogMatters.org, a nonprofit NGO that has been caring for 500+ homeless dogs every day since 2016, across 3 locations in Bulgaria, particularly its main shelter on 27,000 m2 (roughly 6.5 acres) where 140 rescue dogs currently live in Kostinbrod (opened in 2020).

- AI estimates that there are currently about 200-300 million homeless dogs in the world, a completely fixable, unnecessary situation, as certain countries like the Netherlands have proven
- most rescue dog NGOs, nonprofits and dog shelters in the world lack not only the financial resources to multiply their impact in the world but, more importantly, they usually lack the digital skills (like SEO) or literacy to amplify their positive work
- in contrast, our nonprofit, EveryDogMatters.org is directly and indirectly funded by our successful WordPress hosting company, WPX.net, so we aren’t financially vulnerable like most dog shelters and organizations
- we also use the skills gained from our digital business experience, including SEO, at WPX.net to provide more leverage to our work
- this SEO-driven thinking applies to such work as increasing successful rescue dog adoption by: YouTube SEO optimization, LinkedIn post optimization (e.g. to promote company teambuilding days at our shelter), podcast on-page optimization, Instagram post keyword optimization, TikTok keyword optimization and relentless online media promotion (e.g. our Dog Shelter Diary channel about to launch on YouTube) – examples given of these during the presentation
- it also turns out that the majority of the hosting customers of WPX.net are involved in SEO and it was Terry’s own existing SEO tools and training that made the creation of WPX.net financially possible, back in 2013
